About Harris Primary Academy Haling Park

Harris Primary Academy Haling Park is a growing academy that opened in September 2014 to meet the demand from local families for new, high-quality places in South Croydon, and now educates children from Reception to Year 6. We are judged Outstanding by Ofsted, and hold a belief that children thrive when they are consistently happy and safe at primary school. Here at Haling Park we aim to provide a safe and happy environment for our children, where they can thrive and enjoy their learning. We are all ‘learning to be the best we can be’ and this ethos is underpinned by our Golden Rules and Values: Citizenship, Friendship, Kindness, Responsibility, Respect, and Resilience.

Our Ethos:

Whatever a child’s background or starting point, we want to make sure that they finish Year 6 with the knowledge and social skills necessary to succeed.

Each child will be taught in the way that suits them best and we will step in quickly if a change is needed. For some children, this might involve additional support if they are finding something difficult and for others it could mean stretching them more to keep them interested.

Our Academy will be relaxed and comfortable but pupils will know that good behaviour is expected of them. They will be frequently praised and rewarded for trying their best and for being kind, hard-working and well-behaved.
