Pupil Parliament: In our PP session today, we learned about parliament and how laws are created and debated. They also had the opportunity to meet our local MP and ask him questions. Thank you and ! Very informative!

Primary Maths Challenge! This week a group of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the challenge. In the last few weeks, the children attended an after school club which allowed them to practise solving the problems and conundrums they may face.


Maths, Maths, Maths! This week we have been taking part in the November Challenge. 🧮 Over 200,000 points earned across the school. 🧮 Still time to get more points this weekend. Which class will win?

World Diabetes Day 2021: What was once a field of green today became a sea of blue as Haling Park raised awareness for World Diabetes Day on Sunday, the 14th of November 2021!

Remembrance Day: To commemorate Remembrance Day and remember the fallen soldiers throughout history and all present conflicts, each class created a poppy and as a school we gathered together in an assembly for a two-minute silence.


Bread Making! There is the smell of fresh bread creating a lovely aroma around HPAHP today. Yr6 are taking part in bread making workshops this week linked to their DT unit. 🥖


Community Impact: We were so grateful to have had one of our parents deliver a session about diabetes that has helped to better equip and inform our staff. Thank you so much for your time and effort - we really appreciated it!


Community Champions: Today, the children showed the wealth of diversity in our academy. We celebrated our Cultural Day by dressing in traditional or cultural clothing! We truly are “Proud to be…” part of this culturally diverse community!

Ideas, Ideas, Ideas! It was lovely seeing so many new and familiar faces at our PTA coffee morning today. Lots of exciting plans for the year ahead!

Kingswood: Jacob’s ladder posed a challenges we’ve faced before - working collaboratively at height - the twist was having to balance while supporting someone else as they climbed. We learnt that problem solving under pressure is a development point!

PTA - Friends of Haling Park


Harris Primary Academy Haling Park has had a Parent, Teacher Association (P.T.A.) since 2014 and it is now an established group within the school community.

The main aim of the PTA is to promote a sense of community between staff, parents and children and those living in the area around the school. However, it also exists to raise money for the benefits of the pupils. In recent years it has been able to help fund resources for the children and contribute towards purchases for the school.

The PTA runs two main events each year; a Christmas Fair in December and a Summer event in July. It also runs a school Disco every term.  They can always be relied upon to provide refreshments at most school events and they always organise great coffee mornings.

The PTA welcomes the involvement of all parents, whether that can be attending meetings to help organise events or contributing in a practical way. If you would like to be involved in any way, please email the PTA at:
