Trip to the synagogue! Today our Y1’s have been learning about Judaism in RE: capping their topic with a trip to Rabbi Nathan even taught us a Jewish song. What a memorable experience, which our children thoroughly enjoyed! SHALOM!


Sculpture Workshop: Finishing touches being applied this afternoon!


Sculpture Workshop: Day 2 of our sculpture workshops and the first few hours has seen both Y5 and Y2 take part. The creations are coming along nicely!

Sculpture Workshop! Today, as part of the art curriculum for this term, the children in Year 5 and Year 6 have been working with an artist to create some sculptors to display around the school.


End of SATs treat! Today, our Y6’s enjoyed a sunny afternoon in the park to celebrate their completion of this year’s SATs. Thank you for donating our delicious treats! The children really enjoyed them! Well done Y6; we’re all so proud of you!


Swimming Superstars! 🏊 Well done to all the children in Bloom Class who completed their 2 week intensive swimming course last week. So much progress made and we now have some very confident swimmers on our hands!

Young Writer! It’s not every day you get to meet a published author - let alone 6 of them! Well done to our Year 3 children who have had their writing published this year as part of ’s ‘Adventure Hunters’ publication!


Year 1 Victorian Workshop: Last week, our Year 1 children took part in a workshop linked to their history learning this year. They explored some of the daily tasks and chores from Victorian times as well as some popular games from from the past!


Caterpillar Watch! 🐛 We have some new guests in our Reception classes this week. The children are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and waiting to see the caterpillar evolve! We’ll keep you updated!

PTA - Friends of Haling Park


Harris Primary Academy Haling Park has had a Parent, Teacher Association (P.T.A.) since 2014 and it is now an established group within the school community.

The main aim of the PTA is to promote a sense of community between staff, parents and children and those living in the area around the school. However, it also exists to raise money for the benefits of the pupils. In recent years it has been able to help fund resources for the children and contribute towards purchases for the school.

The PTA runs two main events each year; a Christmas Fair in December and a Summer event in July. It also runs a school Disco every term.  They can always be relied upon to provide refreshments at most school events and they always organise great coffee mornings.

The PTA welcomes the involvement of all parents, whether that can be attending meetings to help organise events or contributing in a practical way. If you would like to be involved in any way, please email the PTA at:
